INGREDIENTS
6 eggs
3 Tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp gochujang
1 Tbsp chili crisp
3 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp rice vinegar
Rice for serving
Toasted seaweed (optional)
* Serves 2 to 3
INSTRUCTIONS
Make soft-boiled eggs by cooking eggs in the boiling water for 6 minutes and 30 seconds. Transfer them to an ice bath to cool down. Peel the eggs and set them aside.
In a skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Then, add minced garlic, gochujang, chili crisp, maple syrup, soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Cook everything until the sauce thickens slightly.
Add peeled, cooked eggs to the pan with the sauce. Using a spoon, glaze the eggs with the sauce.
Serve them over rice, and sprinkle some toasted seaweed.
NOTE: This sauce is amazing on other proteins too—tofu, mushrooms, or even a mix with eggs.
